Creating Outdoor Living In Any Space
Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, outdoor living has become a “thing”. We were confined to our properties for so long that it gave us a chance to appreciate what we had around us in the immediate vicinity. Here are some ways to create an outdoor experience no matter where you live.
- Outdoor kitchen anyone? This trend has seen a sharp increase since the COVID-19 pandemic. “Safer At Home” orders have encouraged many homeowners to recreate amazing restaurant experiences at home. An outdoor kitchen might be just what you need.
- Spruce up the living area around your grill. Use garden screens, potted plants/flowers, or wooden crates to create a unique area by the grill.
- Start a special garden. Ever admired flowers in your neighbors yard or well-manicured landscaped gardens as you drove around? Take some time to create a beautiful area in your own garden.
- Find a spot in your garden and create a nook. It can be a bench with colorful throw pillows, a large pot with colorful flowers, or a colorful rock garden.
- Use your windowsills! What if you are an apartment dweller and you have no outdoor space? Plants and throw pillows with a few books can brighten any window space. Add more color in your window treatment and you have a “look”.
- Add fresh flowers to your dining table. Suppose you have no view at all? Select bright, scented floral varieties. Couple that with a place setting that works with the flowers you’ve selected, and voila!
- Create a corner. If your living space confines you to a single room, use one corner of your space to get creative. Outdoor lanterns, floor pillows, fresh flowers, and a small water feature can create the outdoor living serenity you need. - Don’t let staying at home get you down.
